Kur Counts as Individual Finals at Future European Pony Championships

February 3, 2009

Jorinde Verwimp on TonkawaOn January 29, the FEI posted an updated version of the rules for international pony, junior and young rider competitions. A major rule change has taken place for FEI dressage ponies and that is that the kur test will now count as individual finals at future European Pony Championships. This implies that the individual finals no longer counts as the medal deciding test.

The FEI pony championship formula now consists of the team test on day one for all, the individual test on day two for all athletes and the freestyle test for the 15 best athletes from Individual Test on the final day.

A maximum of three athletes per country may participate. In case of equality of percentage in a Freestyle Test, the higher artistic marks will determine the better placing.

There will be no adding of percentages from the team competition and individual competitions but all competitions start from zero.

Complete rules can be view on the FEI website
