Ulla Håkanson's Flyinge Bobby Passed Away

Flyinge BobbyUlla Håkanson's former Grand Prix horse, Flyinge Bobby, has passed away at age 21. The dark bay Swedish warmblood suffered from a severe colic attack and could not be saved. He died on June 2, 2007.

"He was my dear friend and my best competition horse since 1990," Håkanson said.

Flyinge Bobby was born in 1986 and is by Urbino out of Martina (by Hertigen). The Swedish warmblood stallion is bred by J.A. Ohlsson. He competed in 118 Grand Prix tests and did his last show at the 2003 CDI Rotterdam.

Håkanson and Bobby were members of the Swedish Dressage Team at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and Sydney. He won the team bronze medal at the European Championships in 1997 and competed at the 1998 World Equestrian Games. In 1988 he won the Swedish Dressage Championships in Stromsholm.
