Spanish Youth Riders Team Selected for 2006 European Championships

The Spanish Equestrian Federation has announced the riders that will represent Spain at the 2006 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Stadl Paura, Austria, July 25-30, 2006.

Spain selected the following combinations for their young riders team:

• Carmen Naesgaard - Ciowa
• Jens Naesgaard - Ohio
• Pedro González - Davigna
• Chloe Morris - Zorro Z

The Junior Riders team includes:

• Àlex Cabanes - @ Lennox
• María Albiñana - Marinier
• Laura Beatriz Reija - Rainy
• Ainhoa Prada - Floresta 4

Team trainer Jan Bemelmans has been devoting much time to the training of the Spanish junior and young riders and has created short lists of riders from which the team riders were picked. The current Spanish short lists are:

Junior Riders Short List

• Ainoa Prada – Floresta
• Alex Cabanes - @Lennox
• Artur Alvarez Pou – Parmant
• Carlos del Castillo – Weltina
• Daniel Martín Gómez – Niron
• Laura Reija – Rainy
• Maria Albiñana – Marinier

Young Riders Short List

• Danae Lara – Krokant
• Jens Naesgaard – Ohio
• Juan Vazquez – Cardino
