Ulrich Nedergaard Died Unexpectedly

Ulrich Nedergaard (on the right) presenting at the Danish stallion licensingDanish equestrian journalist Ulrich Nedergaard has died unexpectedly yesterday evening. Last weekend he was present at the grading show in Dorthealyst, on Monday he was still actively emailing with the Eurodressage staff about the dressage team for the CDIO Aachen.

Ulrich Nedergaard was the editor-in-chief of the Danish equestrian magazine Hestebladet and he ran the website www.heste-forum.dk. He was a member of the International Alliance of Equestrian Journalists, but he was even more famous as announcer.

Nedergaard was THE voice of the Gala Show at the annual Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning. With much vigour and enthusiasm, he present the gala show every year and stood out with his impressive bass voice.

Nedergaard's passing is a big loss for the international equestrian world. He was 59-years old and leaves behind his wife Xenia.
