Spirit Freedom, British Dressage Horse of the Year 2005

Sarah and Tony Pidgley’s outstanding young dressage horse Spirit Freedom was presented with the THB British Equestrian Dressage Horse of the Year Award at Olympia. Bought as a three-year-old from the Vechta Oldenburg Auction, he has had an outstanding season with rider Damian Hallam.
They took reserve in the six-year-old World Breeding Championship in Verden, as well as winning the National Elementary and Medium Championships at the end of the summer.
Standing 17.2hh Spirit Freedom is unbeaten in the UK and is a favourite with Damian who has been based with the Pidgley’s for nearly two years.
The bay gelding is Oldenburg bred by Sion out of Figaro dam.
