Saigon In Training with Karin Nissen, Davinci to Hans
Peter Minderhoud
February 8, 2005
The 7-year old Swedish warmblood stallion Saigon 1034
is in training with Danish Grand Prix rider Karin
Nissen. Saigon is by Sack out of Swing
by Swift x Urbino. He was bred by Anki Larsson from Ystad,
Sweden, and is owned by Madlen Ohman and Gert Nilsson
from Osby, Sweden.
Minna Telde competed Saigon at the
Swedish Young Horse Championships, winning the national
title for 4-year olds. In 2003, the pair qualified
for the Scandinavian Open, and placed second in the
Breeders Trophy. Saigon is a licensed Swedish warmblood
stallion scoring a 10 for canter in his stallion performance
test.
Two more dressage stallions recently left Telde's
Tullstorp Dressage Stables in Sweden. Bjorsells
Sack
sold to the Norwegian Katrine Rasmussen, who lives
and trains in Denmark. Davinci (Davignon
x Mowgli) has been leased to The Netherlands for the
2005 season and is in training with Hans Peter Minderhoud.
Bred and owned by Per-Arne Persson from Sweden, Davinci
is a dark bay licensed stallion. "Davinci has been
in my barn for quite some time now. My plan is to compete
him at Prix St Georges level this spring," Minderhoud
told Eurodressage.
