Milan Sold to Austria

October 14, 2005

Milan in FalsterboOne of Denmark's most renowned breeding stallions and dressage horses has been sold. Owner Jorgen Olsen sold his dark bay Danish warmblood stallion Milan to Austria. Milan was competed by the Finnish Mikaela Lindh and recently won the small tour at the CDI Falsterbo with top marks.

"Top riders from Germany, Holland, England and Brazil tried to buy Milan, but I decided to sell him to the talented Nora Mothwurf from Austria," Olsen told Eurodressage. Mothwurf and Milan will be trained by Otto Hofer in Switzerland.

Milan DVH 682 was the Danish Warmblood Licensing Champion as a 3-year old and became Premium Stallion Champion as a 4-year old at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning. Sired by Michellino out of Chianti Skovvang (by Manstein x Kawango), Milan scored a 10 for confirmation and a 10 for rideability and potential under his test rider at the Stallion Performance Test. He has two premium sons out of four licensed offspring, and three times he was the sire of the most expensive foal at the Danish warmblood foal auction.
