Olympia International Show Jumping Adds Gala
Dressage Evening
October 31, 2003
For
the first time in its 32-year history, Olympia International
Show Jumping Championships has added an extra night
to the show. The organisers have created an evening
dedicated to Dressage, sponsored by Horse & Hound,
to celebrate the sport’s medal-winning year and
the enormous popularity that dressage now enjoys.
Raising money to send the British team to the Olympics,
the Horse & Hound Gala Dressage Evening will be
theatrical, fun, entertaining and with a touch of celebrity
as Noel Edmonds will be compering the evening in his
own inimitable style.
Top of the bill will be the KUR (dressage to music)
competition. Olympia has invited six top international
riders, including our European Bronze medal winning
team, to take part in this highly skilled and breathtakingly
spectacular event.
To capture the imagination of every member of the family,
whether it’s dad, the grandparents or the children,
the organisers have also thrown in some fabulous, light-hearted
entertainment: a Dressage riders versus Eventers Ride
and Drive competition, a Masterclass with Richard Davison
instructing Zara Phillips and John Whitaker on the finer
points of dressage, a Parade of Champions and Olympia
favourites such as the Shetland Pony grand National,
The Flying Frogs and the Christmas Finale.
It’s an evening you’ll never forget! Ticket
prices range from £9.00 to £22.00. For further
details and bookings telephone the Box Office on 0870
733 0733 (00 44 115 912 9220 for international visitors)
