Kyra Kyrklund Leaving England and Relocating
to Sweden

Kyra
Kyrklund is saying adieu to England and moving back
to Sweden. Kyrklund is moving to Dalleröd near
Hassleholm, Sweden, where she will be training European
silver medallist Jan Brink. She has been tutoring Brink
for a while now, but they decided to to intensify the
trainer-student partnership. Kyrklund moved to Surrey,
England, with her husband Richard White in 1998, after
resigning from her 7-year job as head trainer at the
Flyinge Swedish national stud.
Born in Helsinki, Finland, Kyra is a five-time Olympian
who trained with Walter Christensen from 1975 to 1977
and Herbert Rehbein from 1980 until his death in 1997.
Aboard Matador, Kyrklund won the silver medal at the
1990 World Equestrian Games in Stockholm, Sweden, and
placed first at the 1991 World Cup Final in Paris, France.
She recently put on her shadbelly again to compete the
divine Oldenburg gelding Andiamo Tyme (by Andiamo).
