Belgian
Dressage News:
Noble Casper to Luxembourg
The
13 year old FEI dressage pony and former European dressage
pony Champion Noble Casper has moved to Luxembourg.
Casper rose to European pony stardom under his owner
and rider Delphine Meiresonne within three years time.
Casper came into the possession of the Meiresonne's
as trainer Coby van Baalen recommended him. Mother Christine
and daughter Delphine were immediately taken in by the
little bay dancer and purchased him pronto. From the
beginning of their show career, Delphine Meiresonne
and Casper became Belgium's number one pony combination.
In 1997 they won the national championship and were
able to finish twelfth at the European pony Championships
in Hartpury, England. In 1998 the combination reached
an apex by winning the European Championships in Le
Touquet, France, and they prolonged their national title.
In 1999 Delphine shifted into fourth position at the
Euro-championships in Stromsholm, Sweden, and won their
third consecutive Belgian Championships' title.
"Casper received a sixth month rest period, but was
always kept in training," Christine Meiresonne said.
"We took all the time possible to find a nice pony rider
who can enjoy Casper as much as we did. It is with pain
in our heart that we see him leave for Luxembourg."
Casper will now be trained by the twelve year old daughter
of the Henschen family. The Henschens came in contact
with Noble Casper through the brokerage of Astrid Appels
and her website www.junior-riders.com
