Belgian
Championships for Young Dressage Horses
 The
Belgian Championships for Young Dressage Horses (4,
5 and 6 yo) will take place in Vliermaalroot from 21st
till 25th October 1999. Like last year Jos Gerrits of
Gerrits Equestrian Centre will function as host for
this show. The Dressage Promo Team Belgium organizes
the event, while De Kempische Regionale (Harry Foesters)
takes care of the secretary.
Each horse between the age of 4 and 6, either from
foreign or Belgian origin, can enter the championships;
only under the requirement that the horse is registered
with the Royal
Belgian Equestrian Federation and the rider is licensed
with the same federation. Each rider can only ride two
horses per age class.
Belgian and foreign judges will judge the event. The
first selection test for the four year old horses
is a conformation and gaits class where each horses
will be presented in front of the jury in their three
basic gaits under saddle and later on untacked with
only a bridle on. The five and six year olds will run
a dressage test as qualifier for the finals.
