2007 Austalian Dressage Championships Postponed

September 4, 2007

LayneDue to the Equine Influenza (E.I.) situation, it has been decided to postpone the Horseland Australian Dressage Championships scheduled for 25-28 October 2007. No alternate dates have been set at this stage. Given the uncertainty with predicting an end to the crisis, we anticipate a delay of at least a month or longer. Venue availability is another factor to consider along with weather conditions. It may even be necessary, as a last resort, to cancel the Championships altogether for 2007. However, we hope that it doesn’t come to this.

Once we are given the go-ahead to resume competitions, the Committee will decide if it is possible and/or practical to re-schedule the event.

On behalf of the Organising Committee I extend our best wishes to all riders/owners with horses affected by EI. It is a tough period for all and we look forward to seeing horses back in the dressage competition arena soon.

We are grateful to the support of our Sponsors and hope they will be willing to continue their involvement should we be in a position to re-schedule at a later date.
