Bundeschampionate Reserve Champion and licensed breeding
stallion Weltstar has been sold to Australia. The 7-year
old black stallion by Weltmeyer out of St. Pr. St Feine
Dame (by Feiner Stern x Pik Bube II) has been purchased
by Dr. Kerry Mack, who also owns Mayfield Pzazz, a Dutch
warmblood stallion by Jazz she competed at the 2003
World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Weltstar
was also known in The Netherlands as "Whisper"
and was competed there by Hans Peter Minderhoud.
The black Hanoverian stallion Weltstar was born in
1996 and made a rapid career as breeding and sport horse.
At the 2000 Bundeschampionate, the dropdead gorgeous
Weltstar was ridden Susanne Miesner. In his Bundeschampionate
review, Horse Magazine editor Chris Hector praised Weltstar
for his "real scope and genuine movement,"
and favoured the Hanoverian to the class winning Trakehner
Latimer.
During the 2003 show season, Weltstar was shown
by the Dutch Hans Peter Minderhoud, while the black was up for stud at De Dalhoeve. In The Netherlands, the stallion was
known as "Whisper". Minderhoud competed "Whisper"
at the Zwolle International Stallion show and won the
consolation finals in the Young Stallion Class. They
also became the ZZ-licht champions at the 2003 Dutch
Dressage Championships and won the
Fourth level Stallion Class at the CDI Verden.
