Daily Mirror Sold to Hilltop Farm

January 29, 2004

Daily MirrorThe 2002 P.S.I. auction horse Daily Mirror has been sold to Hilltop Farm in Maryland, USA. Although Daily Mirror was auctioned in 2002 for 86,000 €, the bay gelding was again available for purchase at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen, Germany. Hilltop Farm immediately reacted and acquired the Rhinelander gelding.

Daily Mirror is by Donquestador out of State Premium Mare Gloriante (Telstar x Heidelberg). In the auction catalog he was praised for being "highly modern and noble with an extraordinary canter." Hilltop Farm has renamed Daily Mirror into "Hilltop Dirigo," which is Latin and means "I Lead". Dirigo is also the motto of the US state "Maine".

Michael Klimke will be training and competing this youngster and hopes to qualify him for the 2004 Bundeschampionate.
