FlorianusThe Westfalian licensed breeding stallion Florianus has been sold to Mary Alice Malone of Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, PA, U.S.A. The dark bay stallion has been trained and competed at Grand Prix level by Karin Rehbein and was owned by Ingo Pape. Iron Spring Farm also acquired the approved Friesian stallion Brend 413 (Brandus  345 x Doeke) during the same shopping trip in Europe.

"We are very excited," Iron Spring Farm manager Meghan de Garay told Eurodressage. "Mary Alice will ride both horses and they will competed."

The 10-year old Florianus became a premium stallion at the 2000 Westfalian stallion licensined. He is by Florestan out of State Premium Mare Die Dame (by Damenstolz x Rigoletto) and was bred by Martin Dodt.

As a youngster, he was stationed at Ingo Pape's stallion station and he successfully participated at the 2003 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf under Susan Draper-Pape. Pape's in-house rider Canadian Gillian Duke showed Florianus at the 2004 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden, Germany. Since 2005, Karin Rehbein took care of the training of Florianus and brought him to Grand Prix. Since then, Florianus was standing at stud at Gestut Gronwohldhof.
