Dollmann Passed Away

The Westfalian breeding stallion and Grand Prix dressage horse Dollmann has passed away following a severe colic attack. This was announced at the Munster-Handorf auction center. The black stallion was owned by the American Elizabeth Lewis and trained and competed by Rudolf Zeilinger. Dollmann was bred by Marlies Tenkhoff from Olfen, Germany, and was by Davignon II x Amor.

Dollmann made his first fame by being the most expensive horse to ever have been sold at the Munster Auction in Handorf. Elizabeth Lewis-Page bought the black licensed stallion for 600,000 Deutsch Marks (300,000 euro) in October 2000. He was the reserve champion in the 3-year old riding horse division at the 2000 Bundescahmpionate. Rudolf Zeilinger trained the stallion to Grand Prix level but scarcely competed him.
