Plaisir D'Amour Moves to Gestut Webelsgrund
December 30, 2002
The
14-year old Oldenburg breeding stallion Plaisir d'Amour
has moved to a new stallion station and has received
once again a new rider. Trakehner brood farm Gestut
Webelsgrund has promoted the dark bay stallion by Pik
Bube I x Furioso II x Miracolo xx for its breeding programme
over two years now, but in October 2002 the stallion
actually moved to the stallion station.. Chief rider
of Webelsgrund, Ralf Hartmann, is currently training
the stallion.
Although Plaisir d'Amour scored well in his Stallion
Performance Test (rideability 9.5) and was participant
in the Bundeschampionate Finals, he was never able to
really break through. The stallion was successively
trained by Michelle Gibson, Rudolf Zeilinger, Nicole
Uphoff, Jasmin Sanche and Markus Gribbe. Although Sanche
participated in the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome,
Gribbe was the only rider who could establish some remarkable
achievements with the horse, including a bronze medal
at the Swiss Dressage Championships and making it into
the German B-team for Grand Prix riders.
According to Webelsgrund, 75% of Plaisir D'Amour's
offspring received the Verband Premium status. His offspring
Puppenfee was 1b Brilliantring mare at the 1997 Oldenburg
Breed Show. Her full brother Pierrot Royal was licensed
in 1997. Webelsgrund also markets Trakehner stallions
Le Duc, Checkpoint and Michelangelo.
