Vote for the KWPN Horse of the Year 2007

Each year, the KWPN society proclaims the KWPN Horse
of the Year at the annual stallion licensing in 's
Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. This year the Horse
of the Year will be announced on Saturday February
2, 2008. The breeder of the winning horse will receive
the Nimmerdor Trophy and the owner a replica.
Nine Dutch
warmblood horses which have excellent at high performance
level have been nominated. "The KWPN
Horse of the Year is not the horse which has won
the most euros or the most Grand Prixs or which one
has
been most on television. The KWPN Horse of the Year
2007 will be the horse that is most loved by KWPN
enthusiasts," the KWPN office stated.
Three dressage horses out of nine have been nominated
for the short list of KWPN Horse of the Year: Dutch
European team gold medallist Exquis Nadine (by Trakehner
stallion Partout), Anky van Grunsven's second Grand
Prix horse Painted
Black (by Trakehner stallion Gribaldi) and Patrik Kittel's
Grand Prix horse Pandoer (Guelderland bred by Recruut)
The other nominees are: Authentic, Hickstead, Nirmette,
Okidoki, Sunlight, and Udalburga.
