Wynton Wins 2007 KWPN Stallion Performance Test
May 24, 2007
The black stallion Wynton became the winner of the 2007 spring KWPN Stallion Performance Test in Ermelo, The Netherlands. The 4-year old Jazz x Matador II offspring scored 87 points in total and was the winner of the 70-day testing, beating six other 3-year olds who received their licensed status following their "graduation" yesterday.
Owned by breeder J.M. Jansen and Nico Witte and bred
by Mr. Jansen from Joppe, The Netherlands, the
4-year
old
Wynton
showed more maturity and confirmation in his movements
and trainings, which easily put him ahead of the greener
3-year olds. Wynton could move with more suspension
in the trot (even though it scored a 9!), but his canter
shows good spring and has much potential (score 9).
Wynton has the frame of a real dressage horse and scored
a 9 for his talent.
The runner up was Zuidenwind, a 00Seven x Jazz, bred by Mr. van Helvoirt. This horse scored 85.5 points in total. He was followed by the stallion many expected to become the winner, the black Zenon, a Rousseau x Whinny Jackson, who scored 85 points. Zenon is owned by British WEG team rider Wayne Channon.
The other four licensed stallions are
Cat. 33, Zucchero, Depardieu x Caprimond, breeder: Bescht Helmar
Cat. 38, Ziësto, Lancet x Clavecimbel, breeder A. de Jong
Cat. 48, Zardando, Tango x Gribaldi, breeder A.C.L. Pullens
Cat. 49, Zizi Top, Tango x Ferro, breeder fam. Van de Valk-Van Anholt
