KWPN Select Sale, Familiar Feature at the KWPN Stallion Licensing

Over the years KSS/VHO Sales, together with the KWPN Select Sale, has become a familiar feature of the Dutch Central Stallion Selection in Den Bosch. Numerous talented horses for sport and breeding have found their way to a new owner via the sales hall at Brabanthallen.

At the KWPN Stallion Selection (Wednesday 2 up to and including Saturday 5 February 2005) the 'Langstraat' hall at Brabanthallen is partly converted into a sales hall. During the four days the approximately twenty-five sales stables will accommodate various 3-yr-old stallions that are offered for sale. A special sales team provides in-depth information about these horses and facilitates negotiations with their owners. Lists that are daily updated will show which stallions are for sale at that moment. Same lists can also be found on the internet site or will be sent by telefax on request.

This year for the first time there will be extra sales held on the Thursday- and Friday afternoon, around 17.00 hours. A number of stallions will be shown in the pen, after which Hans Sinnige will present the actual sales. The horses will be sold to the highest bidder. Interested buyers may place a bid and so determine the price for which they would like to buy the particular horse. This sales method is covered by the conditions of the VHO and the sales will have an informal character.
