KWPN Stallion "Sir Sinclair" Sold to Iron
Spring Farm
September 3, 2003
American
dressage and breeding farm Iron Spring Farm has purchased
the highly popular 4-year old KWPN breeding stallion
Sir Sinclair. The 17 hands high bay stallion Sir Sinclair
is by the Bavarian bred Lord Sinclair (by Lanciano)
out of Krishna (Flemmingh x Le Mexico). Sir Sinclair
finished 9th overall in his 100-day stallion test at
Ermelo, but scored the highest on dressage.
Sir Sinclair, who is bred by Monica Drohm from Wijnbergen,
The Netherlands, gained his first fame by being the
price highlight of the 2002 KWPN Select Sale stallion
auction in 's Hertogenbosch. Through the auction, owners
Jaap Jonker and Anton Geessink sold their bay stallion
for 360,000 € to Ed Constant from Wijdewormer,
The Netherlands. In his first breeding year, Sir Sinclair
was bred to 155 mares.
Iron Spring Farm, located in Coatesville, PA, is owned
by Mary Alice Malone, whose both daughters are successful
young riders in the United States. Iron Spring Farm's
first renowned stallion was the KWPN sire Roemer. They
are currently stationing well known imported sires Juventus,
Contango and Akatschi among several of their own bred
licensed stallions.
