Stallion Licensings Making the Autumn Months More Interesting

Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, October 22-23, 2009

The Hanoverian Stallion Licensing is one of the high spots in the Hanoverian breeding year. It will be held in Verden on October 22 and 23, 2009. Free jumping and the declaration of all licensing results will be broadcasted live on the Internet on October 23. The licensed and non-licensed stallions will be put up for auction on October 24.

The Hanoverian stallion licensing will start on Thursday, October 22, with the presentation in the triangle. On Friday, October 23, there will be free jumping and the announcement of all licensing results. Saturday, October 24, will start with lungeing the stallions. Then the „Hanoverian Stallion of the Year“ will be proclaimed, the premium stallions will be honoured and the eagerly awaited stallion sales will be the crowning end of this year’s Stallion Licensing.

A special focus will be on the first offspring of Celle state stud stallions Dancier and Londontime. The first progeny of privately owned stallion Hotline will be shown, too. Two former stallions of the Verden stallion licensing successfully competed at Bundeschampionate in Warendorf: Lissaro van de Helle by Lissabon/Matcho repeated last year’s success and won the division of four-year-old stallions. Celle state stud stallion Quaid by Quidams Rubin/Voltaire (presented a successful performance, too. He became Champion of five-year-old show jumping horses.

Oldenburg Stallion Days November 19 - 21, 2009

The Oldenburg Stallion Licensing takes place from November 19 through 21, 2009. On the first day the stallion prospects are inspected on hard surface followed by a mandatory lunging session of all stallions in the auction hall. On Friday the stallions are shown in freedom and they have to do the free jumping. After each eight stallions, the young colts are presented in walk in the ring. The selection committee announces which ones are licensed and which ones are selected for the premium ring. On Saturday morning, awards are handed to the premium stallions and the champion of the licensing will be announced.

On Saturday November 21 at 1 PM the auction of licensed and non-licensed stallions takes place. After this exciting auction the stallion parade of young and old sires took place. Each year the "Althengstparade" is an exciting show for dressage and breeding lovers.

Westfalian Stallion Licensing November 23- 25, 2009

The Westfalian Verband is holding its annual stallion licensing on November 23-25, 2009. The pre-selection is scheduled on two locations, first in Wickrath and then in Münster-Handorf mid October.

The licensing starts on Monday November 23 with the first presentation in hand, the running in freedom and the walk round in the triangle. On Tuesday the stallions have to jump in freedom and the licensing committee announces which stallions are approved.

On Wednesday the stallions are first lunged and then the premium stallions are selected. In the afternoon a stallion show will take in place in which young and older Westfalian approved stallions are presented under saddle. Afterwards, the premium stallions are awarded and the committee announces the licensing champion. At 16h the auction of licensed and non licensed stallions takes place

Trakehner Stallion Licensing November 22-25, 2009

On October 22-25, 2009 The Holstenhalle in Neumunster, Germany, will be filled with Trakehner Breed lovers for the annual Stallion Licensing. On Thursday 22 October the horses are presented for the first time and measured. On Friday the jumping in freedom takes place followed by the presentation in the triangle. The next day the stallions are allowed to move in freedom. The Saturday afternoon program is filled with exciting award ceremonies (Elite Stallion Proclamation) and a mare and foal auction followed by the Trakehner Gala Show.

The actual announcement of the licensed stallions takes place on Sunday October 25, 2009. The licensed champion and reserve champion will also be announced. In the early afternoon the auction of licensed and non-licensed stallions occurs.
