Sir Schölling Sold
January 18, 2006
The Hanoverian bred but Swedish based Sir Schölling
has been sold to a client of Paul Schockemohle. Sir
Schölling 1073 is by Sherlock Holmes out of State Premium
Mare Wolga (by Warkant x Eiger) and is bred by the
German Harald Niemöller. Schockemohle
owned the stallion together with the Swedish dressage
stable Starby.
Sir Schölling, who was
approved in Sweden at the Stallion Licensing of
2004. "We owned
him
together with Paul Schockemöhle and he called
right before christmas to say he had
a client, so we sent him down to Schockemöhle´s.
The client was very interested and bought the
stallion," Elise Fredriksson of Dressyrstall Starby
said.
Sir Schölling covered 53
mares his first year in Sweden and 24
in 2005. Under Gustav Johansson, he competed at Prix
St Georges level and recently made their Intermediaire
I debut.
"I think he could
have
had
more mares
this year after more mare owners have seen him
compete, but as a part-owner it´s hard to
say the stallion shouldn´t be sold when there
is an interested party," Fredriksson stated.
