Hanoverian Verband Wins "Best of All" 2005 WBFSH Trophy
November 2, 2005
For the ninth time the Hanoverian Verband has been awarded the "Best of All" Trophy by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH). Hanoverian horses claimed the first place in dressage, the second place in eventing and the third place in show jumping, making the Hanoverian overall the best performing horse breed this 2004/2005 show season.
Six Hanoverian dressage horses in particular contributed to the Hanoverian's first place in the WBFSH Dressage Ranking. Anky van Grunsven's Hanoverian gelding Salinero (by Salieri x Lungau) was, without a doubt, the best Hanoverian representative having won the 2005 World Cup Finals and 2004 Olympic Games.
The five other dressage Hanoverians that led to winning the trophy are: Beatriz Ferrer-Salat's
Beauvalais (by Bolero), Andreas Helgstrand's
Blue Hors Cavan (by Cavalier), Isabell Werth's
Satchmo (by Sao Paulo), Sven Rothenberger's
Barclay (by Brentano II) and Isabell Werth's
Warum Nicht FRH (by Weltmeyer).
The KWPN society finished in second place, following by the Oldenburg verband in third.
