Dream of Glory passed away

Another great German dressage stallion passed away recently. Dream of Glory, a black Donnerhall x Pik Bube I, suffered a severe colic attack and was unable to recouperate from it. He was humanly put down at his stallion station.

Dorit Kothe purchased the three-year old Dream of Glory at the 1992 PSI Sport horse auction, the same year in which he was licensed. Dream of Glory finished fourth overall at Medingen Stallion Performance Test. In 1994 he competed in the young horse classes and qualified for the 1995 Bundeschampionate. In 2000, he competed seven times under Anja Hermelink, at Intermediaire I level and was trained at Grand Prix level.

Dream of Glory passed on his dressage qualities and lead the 1999 FN Dressage evaluation rankings for young stallions. In the 1999 competition season, 32 of his progeny placed 124 times at various levels. Bundeschampionate winner and 2000 World Young Dressage Horse championships' participant Dreamy’s Dream and Bundeschampionate reserve champion Dr Jackson are his most famous offspring. Dream of Glory was also well represented as sire in various Verden Elite sport horse auctions.
