Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing
Michellino, Danish
Warmblood Stallion of the Year 2006
March 7, 2006
Michellino has been proclaimed Danish Warmblood Stallion
of the Year 2006 at the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing
in Herning, Denmark. The Stallion of the Year award
is always kept very secret and when it was announced
that the 15-year old Elite Stallion Michellino became
the winner, the crowds went wild at the Herning Messecenter.
Born in The Netherlands, Michellino is by Michelangelo
out of Claudette (Ulft x Lector) and is owned by Per
Vintersboelle from Aars, Denmark. Michellino was licensed
in Denmark in 1994 and currently has more than 1000
registered offspring. He sired two licensing champions
-- Milan and Matinique -- and many more licensed sons.
Michellino
is a stallion with a notorious reputation. Because
of his very hot temperament, Michellino is not the
easiest horse to handle, nor his offspring, but he
has proven
to produce top quality sport horses and has sired numerous
internationally successful FEI dressage horses.
Michellino's most famous dressage offspring are Milan,
who recently sold to Austria, Laura Bechtolsheimer's
Grand Prix horse Mistral Hojris, young rider Annemette
Mortensen's Mitchell Imhoff and World Young Horse Championship
participant Mineur.
Michellino
rightfully deserves to be honoured as one of Denmark's
most important and influential Danish warmblood sires.
