Onassis began his career under the name Vilena. In
2002 he became champion with the stallion foals. As
a two year old Onassis went to the KWPN stallion show
and was allowed to do a performance test. Before that
he got sold to Denmark. In 2005 Onassis got approved
for the Dansk Varmblod. The stallion became the champion
of the 70 day performance test in Denmark with the
following notes: temperament 9,0 – rittigkeit
9,0 – capacity 9,0 – walk 9,25 – trot
8,5 – canter 9,5. Momentarily Onassis performs
realy well at the different stallion competitions in
Denmark. His offspring strikes the attention at several
shows and auctions in Denmark. In 2006 a Onassis mare
foal out of a Michelino mother became champion of the
dressage mare foals in Denmark.
 Onassis offspring have
3 good gaits, are light-footed and have a great character.
Sire line Father Obelisk is competing at national level
under Kirsten Beckers. In 2000,2001 and 2002 Obelisk
offspring won the national foal show. Last couple of
years his offspring stroke the attention at the stallion
show. At the end of 1999 Nimmedor was awarded “stallion
of the century” in Holland. He won this title
based on his long carreer as a successful jumper and
breeding stallion and successful offspring. Dam line
Onassis is bred out of the successful breeding program
of Bennie Huirne. Mother Ilena gave birth to the mare
Rilena. Rilena was the reserve champion at the National
Mare Show 2001, a year later she became European Champion.
This dam line is also known of the stallion Ulft. Onassis
will be available in Denmark at Stald Birkelund.
