This is a unique opportunity to buy an internationally successful FEI Dressage Pony. Orpheus Junior is a 10-year old licensed German Reitpony stallion with a pedigree full of winners. He is very well trained, totally confirmed in all the FEI pony level movements, fun to ride and an ideal schoolmaster for an ambitious pony rider who wants to move up in the ranking at national and international pony competitions.

Orpheus Junior has been licensed as a breeding stallion in Alsfeld, Germany, in 2003. He completed his Stallion Performance Test with a score of 7,95 and finished third in the overall ranking. He is the embodiment of a modern sport pony. Loose and through in his body, swinging movements, three extraordinary basic gaits and an excellent show jumping technique. He competed in the 2003 Bundeschampionate and finished fifth.

Orpheus Junior has always been carefully trained and he has been given the time to mature. In 2006 he came in ownership of his current rider/owner who started showing him at L-level (second level) in Germany. By the end of 2006 he won the bronze medal in the regional championships for dressage ponies and became a member of the Westfalian team.

"OJ" made his FEI level break through in 2007. A bronze medal at the Westfalian Championships and a finallist at the German Championships made him become the 3rd most successful dressage pony in Germany and most successful pony in the Hessian area. In 2007/2008 he totalled 30 victories at L-level dressage and was placed highly in every test he had entered in. He scored between 8,0 - 8,6.

In 2007 his FEI level test scores were between 65-68%, but in 2008 they improved considerably and were nearing the 70% mark. At the national show in Gelsenkirchen Scholven he scored 69,667 %, at the CDN Appelhülsen he got 69,335 % and at the international CDI-P Beek he achieved 69,16% and 68,15%. He also participated in the 2008 German Pony Championships.

Because his rider has turned 17, she is no longer allowed to compete OJ. A new temporary rider did her first test with this stallion and scored directly 66,7% after a 14-day partnership. This is proof that this pony can score well with any new rider and is a flexible pony with much experience and potential.

Orpheus Junior is a pony willing to work with no stallion behaviour. He has a great personality and is loyal and dependent to his owner. He is kind and gentle to handle and can be groomed by any child without supervision of an adult. He trailers well, even with other horses onboard. He has always been trained by his child owner/rider and has not been ridden by professional adults, which is more proof of his great rideability and quality.

Orpheus Junior is an expressive, beautiful pony which leaves an impression in the show ring and which can have a big career with the right rider. Recent X-rays are available and there were no remarks on them.
