Derengo has built up an impressive list of achievements and has not run out of steam yet. This pony has a great personality and is safe and easy to ride. He can easily take another young pony rider into the ribbons and trophies.

Derengo has been an anchor pony for the Belgian FEI pony team for years. Under his first FEI pony rider Hanna de Wit, he was the Belgian FEI Dressage Pony Champion in 2004. He also competed at the 2003 CDI Saumur (64.33% in the team test), the 2004 CDI Saumur (66.900% in the kur), the 2004 CHIO Limburg (1st place with 65,06% in team test), the 2004 CDI-P Duisburg and at the 2004 CDI Helden they won the consolation finals with 65.06%.

He then became the schoolmaster of the young Laurence Roos who initially racked up trophies at regional and national shows but then moved on to international FEI Pony level. He further built up his already impressive international show career. He competed at the 2007 CDI-P Beek (67.500%% in the Kur), the 2007 CDI-P Herentals (66.650% in the Kur), the 2008 CDI-P Addington (65.789 % in team test), the 2009 CDI-P Addington (68.67% in the kur), and 2009 CDI-P Weert (67.17% in the Kur). They were bronze medallists at the 2007 Belgian Pony Championships and were the Belgian team reserves for the 2008 European Pony Championships.

The liver chestnut Derengo is a stallion with the best temperament imaginable. He is super steady, safe, and easy. With him, there is no bucking, no rearing and he is totally bombproof. He always keeps his cool and has no stallion behaviour. He can take even the smallest child into the FEI Dressage Pony ring. He is uncomplicated to ride and handle and trailers well. He has proven to be incredibly low maintenance with the vet as he has never been lame at his current owner's place. He is also an excellent show jumper, though he has mainly been focused on dressage.

Derengo is an outstanding schoolmaster for young pony riders with an ambition to ride at FEI pony level or for German Reitpony breeders who want to stand a confirmed, successful FEI Dressage Pony stallion at stud with top German bloodlines.
