14th February 2002 - Valentine's Rose
O
Rose thou art sick, The invisible worm,
That flies in the night
In the howling storm:
Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy:
And his dark secret love Does thy life destroy.
-- W. Blake
With
is the problem with modern men? Why are they so commitment-phobic,
why do they fear strong powerful confident woman? Why
do they hop women like they are a tourist, just enjoying
the delights and not discovering the hidden, inner beauty.
Why do they crave for a next one when they just came
to meet the first one? What is that impatience, why
are they so insecure? Is it not a paradox: modern and
man?
"Jan
van Hogspeuw staggers to the door and pisses at the
dark.
[...]
Rain, Wind, Fire! The secret, bestial peace."
-- P. Larkin
Why
are women more apt to ride dressage than men? Is the
aspect of danger and speed that lures men to show jumping?
Is dressage just a tiny little bit too refined for them.
It probably requires too much patience.

Guess
how my Valentine was? I spent it aboard Grace 001 -
Westfalian mare - eternal love for you!
