Australia's
best and most provocative equestrian magazine "The
Horse Magazine" travelled up to Europe for a live
encounter with the 2001 European Dressage Championships
and World Championships for Young Dressage Horses.
Eurodressage
likes to recommend you Chris Hector's and Roz Neave's
wonderful report of this event. A short introduction
to their article:
These
big European shows are just a touch exasperating because
try as you will, arrive as early as you can, and leave
as late as you can handle, you still have no chance
of seeing and enjoying everything you'd like to see.
It is not the fault of the venue, the Verden Racetrack.
With the young horse arena in one corner, next to the
triangle where they judge the foal championship, great
warm-up arenas in front of the betting office (doubling
now as a very adequate press centre, behind them the
trade fair, and to the left, the local soccer stadium
which is transformed into a lovely competition arena.
