Quel Homme Price Highlight at 2007 Verden
Foal Auction

 The Hanoverian foal Quel Homme became the price highlight
of the 2007 Elite Brood Mare and Foal Auction in Verden,
Germany, August 17-19, 2007. The Quidam de Revel x
Contender colt, bred by Jürgen Kurz, sold for
100,000 euro to a Portuguese buyer.
The same person also purchased the most expensive
dressage foal, Don Lui (by Diamond Hit x Rotspon) for
42,000 euro. This colt is bred by Hans-Ludwig Dittmer.
The most expensive brood mare was Lavell, a Londonderry
x Donnerhall offspring. She sold for 45,000 euro to
Spain.
172 foals were auctioned and sold to 19 different
countries abroad. France was the biggest buyer acquiring
29 foals in total. 24 sold to Italy and 21 to Spain.
At the auction, which took place over three days,
325 foals sold in total for an average price of 8,373
euro. The average price for a brood mare was 16,781
euro.
