More than satisfying sale of Hanoverian riding horses from Verden

Verden. The result of the Verden Equitop-auction on the first May-weekend exceeded all results achieved up to now: 58 Hanoverian riding horses (three to six years old) were sold at an average auction sales price of EURO 11,213.

Foreign customers dominated the auction business. Regular customers and new Hanoverian fans from North America bought 21 horses (16 from the United States, 5 from Canada). Apart from that, customers from Great Britain and Switzerland were successful and bought each four horses, customers from the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Sweden each one horse. A total quantity of 29 horses will be exported. This confirms once again the long lasting international importance of the Verden sales centre.

The highest price was achieved for "Dream in Black" by Donnerhall/Consul/T, bred and exhibited by Cornelia Röthemeier, Warmsen. This real "dream in black" was sold at EURO 53,000 to the United States. The Dutch "Stal Dobber" from Loenen placed the second highest bid for this exceptional dressage horse. Later on, they bought one of the best show jumping prospects of this auction, Flambeau by Fabriano/Graf Lehndorff, bred by Horst Erxleben, Bienenbüttel.

Two horses were equally sold at the second highest price of this auction. Both, the show jumping and dressage prospect achieved an auction sales price of EURO 29,000. The mature chestnut mare Sunshine by Silvio I/Dynamo, bred and exhibited by Franz Johannsmann, Hilter, was sold to Canada. The Warkant/Velten Sohn-daughter Whisper, bred and exhibited by Frank and Nicole Pistner, Kirchlinteln, was sold to Northrhine-Westphalia.

Upon request, the auction management confirmed the sound price structure and underlined the excellent prospects for the next Verden sales event, the summer auction on July 26 and 27. The selection for this auction will start as of mid of May.
