2000 Winter Auction of Hanoverian Riding Horses

Right at the beginning of a new century, The Verden Verband Hannoverscher Warmblutzuchter again gives a sign of quality and extensive variety. It is always a pleasure to make use of various possibilities of discovering suitable horses on Verden Auctions. The selection committee is conscientiously working, the advantages of this preparation work are abvious. Each potential customer has the same advantages.
Successes appear quickly and are also lasting for a long time, for example on the cover the dressage horse Axel. This grey by Akut x Picard x Sudan xx, born 1986 and bred by Heinrich Schierding, Lahstedt, was sold exactly ten years ago at 10,800 DM by his discoverer Ursula Brumme. Up to now, he totally won 48,245 DM. For the new owner, Axel's trainer and tournament rider Hubertus Schmidt did an excellent job with successes up to Grand Prix level.

Masterpieces of breeding combined with masterly training can easily be related with another masterpiece in the background of the cover of the winter auction. Exactly 300 years ago Johan Georg von Hamilton created the oil painting "Die kaiserliche Reitschule in Wien", now part of the art collection of the Prince of Lichtenstein.
