2000 Winter Auction of Hanoverian Riding Horses
Right
at the beginning of a new century, The Verden Verband
Hannoverscher Warmblutzuchter again gives a sign of
quality and extensive variety. It is always a pleasure
to make use of various possibilities of discovering
suitable horses on Verden Auctions. The selection committee
is conscientiously working, the advantages of this preparation
work are abvious. Each potential customer has the same
advantages.
Successes appear quickly and are also lasting for a
long time, for example on the cover the dressage horse
Axel. This grey by Akut x Picard x Sudan xx, born 1986
and bred by Heinrich Schierding, Lahstedt, was sold
exactly ten years ago at 10,800 DM by his discoverer
Ursula Brumme. Up to now, he totally won 48,245 DM.
For the new owner, Axel's trainer and tournament rider
Hubertus Schmidt did an excellent job with successes
up to Grand Prix level.
Masterpieces of breeding combined with masterly training
can easily be related with another masterpiece in the
background of the cover of the winter auction. Exactly
300 years ago Johan Georg von Hamilton created the oil
painting "Die kaiserliche Reitschule in Wien", now part
of the art collection of the Prince of Lichtenstein.
