Daktylius, Price Highlight of the 2008 Vechta Foal Auction

DaktyliusThe chestnut colt Daktylius (by Don Romantic x De Niro) became the price highlight of the 2008 Oldenburg Foal Auction in Vechta, Germany on August 29, 2008. The impressive colt sold for 50,000 euro to the family Staff-Reitzenstein from Baden-Württemberg, who are regular shoppers in Vechta.

The second most expensive foal was Disponent, a bay colt by Desperados x Akzent I x Hitchcock, which sold for 46,000 euro. Dressage millionaire Ann Katrin Linsenhoff acquired the bay colt Floryon (by Fidertanz x Sion) for 45,000 euro.

Austrian mogul Elisabeth Max-Theurer purchased the extravagantly coloured bay pinto mare Die Bunte (by Diamond Hit x Sambuco B x Grundstein II) for 36,000 euro. Quarter's Hero (by Quaterback x De Niro x Lord Liberty) sold to Denmark for 26,000 euro.

Status Quo ZwoStatus Quo Zwo, the full brother to the Oldenburg licensing champion Status Quo (by Stedinger x Quattro B x Landor S) sold for 25,000 euro to South Africa. The same amount of money was paid for Dollinger (by Don Romantic x Stedinger x Cartusch).

37 foals sold for over 10,000 euro. 29 foals sold abroad. The average price for a foal at this auction was 9,553 euro.
