Advent a Jour, Price Highlight of 2006 Vechta Mixed Sales

Advent a Jour, a 6-year old chestnut gelding by Aktuell x Aleksander, became the price highlight of the 2006 Mixed Sales Auction in Vechta, Germany. Canadian Evi Strasser acquired the Danish bred FEI level trained Oldenburger for 82,500 euro. Strasser, who is a regular customer at Vechta, bought three more horses in this auction.

New clients from Austria purchased the licensed stallion Smashing Hit (by Sandro Hit x Justinian xx) for 40,000 euro. The same client also acquired Furstenstein (Furst Heinrich x Rubinstin) and St.Pr.A Giselle. German horse dealer Bernhard Scharffer paid 41,000 euro for Dropkick (Donnerschwee x Ex Libris).

Marta Kaufmann, producer of the American tv-series "Friends," came to Vechta on another shopping spree. She paid 45,000 euro for Dance Fire (Donnerschwee x Freedom) and 42,000 euro for the pony Calero WE (Courage x Diamant II).

55 riding horses were auctioned, achieving an average price of 16,236 euro. Eleven broodmares were sold and they produced an average price of 13,000 euro. Half of all auctioned horses sold abroad.
