Ludwig is an easy, uncomplicated young sport horse with three very balanced gaits and much rhythm. This chestnut Oldenburg gelding gives a comfortable feeling when ridde. He has won Riding Horse Tests in Germany

Ludwig is by the Hanoverian fashion stallion Londonderry (by Lauries Crusador xx w Warkant) who also sired Liberty Gold, the 2003 Hanoverian Licensing Champion. Londonderry was the winner of the 1997 Stallion Licensing and competed at the Bundeschampionate.

In his dam line Ludwig carries Weltmeyer blood. Weltmeyer, the 1998 Hanoverian stallion of the year, has proven his worth this year being an extraordinary dam sire. World Champion Florencio is by Florestan x Weltmeyer, Hanoverian Licensing Champion Liberty Gold is by Londonderry x Weltmeyer. Weltmeyer is known to pass on powerful hindquarters that show a lot of engagement and rhythm. Ludwig has definitely enherited this quality.
