Description:
Felix Westphalia - Happy Westfalian. This divine bay gelding by Fidermark x Ehrentusch is one of the eye catchers of the 2004 PSI Auction. With his lovely knee action and rhythmic, engaged hind legs, this horse is a movement highlight and conformation beauty. Felix Westphalia shows an extraordinary ability to sit in the piaffe.

Felix Westphalia is sired by Fidermark, a son of Florestan. Fidermark was trained by Johann Hinnemann and competed by Marlies van Baalen. He was considered by Hinnemann to be A prototype of the modern sport horse because of his delightful appearance and good gaits.

Felix Westphalia's dam sire is Ehrentusch, a foundation stallion for the Westfalian verband. Ehrentusch won his stallion performance test in Warendorf in 1987 with top results in all categories, proving the marvelous versatility of this line. He also became reserve DLG champion, placing second to Weltmeyer. Ehrentusch's sire Ehrensold was a Rhineland state stallion who sired Entertainer, sold at the PSI auction and ridden by Dr. Reiner Klimke and Michael Klimke.
