Welpe's Countess, talk about a true diva. This pitch black Oldenburg branded mare by Wenckstern x Volturno is a divine beauty with a graceful and highly noble appearance. She moves with much elegance while her gaits are all very well engaged from behind and uphill.

Welpe's Countess is sired by the Hanoverian stallion Wenckstern (Weltmeyer x Western Star), who has recently been bought by the South African dressage rider Natalia Hobday as her next future Grand Prix star.

Dam sire Volturno (by Vollkorn xx) who received a 10 for canter and cross-country jumping at his 1972 Stallion Approval. Volturno was owned, raised and ridden by Otto Ammermann who won two German Eventing Championships with him and took home two Olympic silver team medals. He won the silver medal at the 1978 World Eventing Championships in the U.S.A.
