Donnerhall (by Donnerwetter x Markus) has been a multipe team gold medal winning dressage horse. Under Karin Rehbein he also won individual bronze at the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome. Karin Rehbein said about Donnerhall that "he was always a good horse to train. Good in the head, he was always straightforward and learnt everything really quickly."

Dam sire Landadel is mostly known for being a foundation stallion for the Holsteiner breed. Landadel was the champion of the 1985 100-Day Performance Test in Medingen and is one of the rare stallions siring top dressage as well as jumping progeny. In the 2001 World Cups, Landadel was unique in producing representatives in both the dressage and jumping finals, with Leondardo da Vinci in the dressage under Gonnelien Rothenberger andHelena Weinberg's Little Gun in show jumping. In the 1999/2000 WBFSH standings, Landadel had 14 representatives on the jumping list and three on the dressage. Landadel is regarded as the most important son of Landgraf, carrying a double cross of the great Ladykiller xx.
