Show Jumpers Take Top Prices at 25th Elite Auction
for Westfalian Sporthorses
Price
highlight at the 25th Elite Auction for Westfalian Sport
Horses and Ponies was for once not a dressage horse,
but a show jumping prospect. The bay stallion Balanda,
by Rodrigo Pessoa's double World Cup winner Baloubet
de Rouet out of an Achill x Libero H dam, was the highlight
of the Munster collection. The 4-year old show jumper
is bred by Ulla von Bormann from Essen and presented
for sale by Gestüt Rahmannshof. Balanda achieved a knock
down price of 190,000 €.
Second
most expensive horse of the 25th Elite Auction was the
lovely chestnut gelding Ferris. Sired by Feiner Ludwig
out of a Mephistopheles dam, Ferris was bred by Johannes
Baumeister from Kranenburg. Presented by Matthias Borkenfeld
from Datteln, this talented dressage horse was sold
for 100,000 €. Another attractive prospect was
the 3-year old gelding First Time (Fidermark x Acord
II). Stallion Stalion Kemper from Borken, Germany, presented
this young gelding at the auction and sold him for 60,000
€.
Best
selling pony was the dapple grey gelding Ventspils.
The 6-year old jumper is by Vivaldi x Croupier and reached
a price of 6,200 €. Most expensive foal was the
17,500 € worthy Fleet Street (Furst Piccolo x Sandro
Hit).
Several horses were sold abroad. 11 went to Great Britain,
8 to the U.S.A., 2 to Spain, and one to Austria, Luxembourg
and Belgium.
