Dark Hit, Price Highlight 2009 AOS Auction, Sold to Austria

October 2, 2009

Furstin WeiheAt Paul Schockemohle's annual AOS (Ankum Open Sales) auction on October 1, 2009, the top selling foal sold to Denmark for 37,000 euro and the top priced stallion sold for 380,000 euro to Austria.

The price highlight of the auction was the 2-year old stallion Dark Hit (by Diamond Hit x Sandro Hit). Austrian Sissy Max-Theurer acquired this extravagantly moving stallion prospect for 380,000 euro after a strong bidding dual with a Danish buyer.

Lone Boegh Henriksen op HP Horses in Hillerod, Denmark, purchased the most expensive foal of the auction Furstin Weihe, a Furst Romancier filly out of an embryotransfer from Oldenburg Eliter Mare Champion Weihegold (by Don Schufro x Sandro Hit). Weihegold produced three embrytransfer foals in 2009. The bidding went quickly and the price rose with at a steady speed. Boegh Henriksen, who is a seasoned auction buyer of licensed stallions such as Rosentanz, Hoftanz and Furstenball, acquired the filly to strengthen her mare line.
