Dick Tracy, Price Highlight at 2003 Klosterhof

At
the 2003 Klosterhof Medingen autumn auction, Dick Tracy
became the price highlight of the day. Sold to Hamburg
for 215,000 €, Dick Tracy is a 3-year old licensed
breeding stallion with potential for dressage. The dark
bay stallion, who is by De Niro x Argentinus x Jet Set,
scored 9.0 on rideability in his stallion performance
test.
Diana was the second most expensive horse at the 14th
Autumn auction at Klosterhof Medingen, home of Trakehner
stallions Caprimond, Hohenstein, and Latimer as well
as Hanoverian De Niro. Diana is a 5-year old liver chestnut
mare who qualified for the Bundeschampionate. The mare,
who is by Donnerschwee x Andiamo x Novize, was sold
for 100,000 € to Westphalia. The Hanoverian stallion
Hohenzollern (Hohenstein x Weltmeyer x Weissenburg)
got a knock down price of 90,000 €. The average
price for a riding horse at Medingen was 43,000 €.
Twenty-nine
foals changed owners over the auction. The most expensive
one was Disney World, a black colt by De Niro x Walt
Disney x Grenadier, who got sold for 28,000 €.
Disney World is a full brother to the 2001 Verden Licensing
Reserve Champion Desert Moon. Four foals were sold to
Denmark, two went to Sweden, and one to the U.S.A, Portugal,
and Great Britain. The average foal price was 11,000
